Among over 800 water technology exhibitors, NanoH₂O and four other category winners were announced at the opening ceremony of this year’s Aquatech Amsterdam Exhibition held November 1-4 in the capital city of the Netherlands.

Fifty companies were considered across five categories: water supply, water treatment, process control and automation, transport and storage, and innovation not to market yet. The expert panel judged the entries based on various criteria including product originality, feasibility and sustainability. The proven field performance and commercial availability of QuantumFlux membranes – the most energy efficient SWRO membranes on the market – served as key factors in the selection process. An additional winning factor was NanoH₂O’s capability to produce significant volumes of QuantumFlux membrane flat sheet and spiral-wound elements for a global customer base at its vertically integrated manufacturing facility in Los Angeles, CA.

“We are extremely honored to have been awarded the Aquatech Innovation award in the water supply category, and to be recognized alongside other innovators in the water treatment industry,” said Jeff Green, CEO of NanoH₂O, Inc. “Our QuantumFluxmembranes continue to provide our customers with greater system productivity and energy savings. This award further validates the viability of nanocomposite membrane technology and strengthens our position within the global marketplace.”

About NanoH₂O, Inc.
NanoH₂O, Inc. designs, develops, manufactures and markets reverse osmosis (RO) membranes that change the fundamental economics of desalination. Based on breakthrough nanostructured materials and industry-proven polymer technology, NanoH₂O’s thin-film nanocomposite (TFN) QuantumFlux membranes dramatically improve desalination energy efficiency and productivity.QuantumFlux seawater reverse osmosis (SWRO) membranes deliver the highest flux and highest salt rejection of any SWRO membrane on the market. QuantumFlux membranes are available in standard 4-inch (10 cm) and 8-inch (20 cm) diameter elements that fit easily into new and existing desalination plants, purifying water from a broad range of sources with improved productivity and water quality. NanoH₂O was the 2010 Wall Street Journal Innovation Award winner in the environment category.QuantumFlux membranes are Standard 61 Certified by the National Sanitation Foundation (NSF) for the production of drinking water.
