With 600 million liters per day (MLD) or 158 million gallons per day (MGD) production capacity, it is the largest project win in LG Chem\u2019s history.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>LG Chem has been awarded the project in recognition of the excellent quality and performance of its RO membranes. The project adopts the double-pass configuration, which consists of the first pass SWRO and second pass BWRO. LG Chem will supply both SWRO and BWRO membranes with a total number of 79,632 elements. LG Chem\u2019s RO membranes boast industry-leading salt rejections, which help to meet the strict project water quality requirements while achieving low energy consumption.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Since its first large project contract of 250 MLD Sohar SWRO in 2016, LG Chem has built an impressive track record for mega-project wins, emerging as a leading company in the RO membrane industry. In 2020, LG Chem\u2019s annual SWRO contracted capacity surpasses 1,000 MLD from various project wins including Al Khobar II and Barge project in the KSA and Al Arish in Egypt.
